Names and spellings the draft remembers

Transcription sometimes misspells local names: people, streets, businesses, projects. CivicPorch learns them for your town only.

Automatically

• Board members from each board's roster.
• Words in your agendas: names and places in agenda items and agenda PDFs.
• Your corrections: when you approve minutes where you've fixed a misspelled name, we remember the correct spelling and use it in future drafts.

By hand

Open Settings → Names and places and add anything else, such as street names, subdivisions, businesses or the name of the creek everyone argues about. They are passed to transcription as spelling hints and used in drafting.

See or remove what's been learned

Settings lists every learned correction and added term, and you can remove any of them. What you teach stays with your town: it's never shared with other customers and never used to train AI models.

Drafts also follow the style of your board's recently approved minutes (how items are titled, how motions are worded), without copying their facts.
