Posting deadlines and reminders

CivicPorch knows the open-meetings notice rules for California, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin. For those states, each meeting shows the deadline to post its agenda (and, where the law sets one, to make minutes available), with the statute.

Reminders

We email the account owner before an agenda deadline if the agenda hasn't been posted yet, and after meetings when minutes are due. Special meetings, weekends (where the law skips them) and daylight saving are handled.

Your own rule

Local rules or charters often require more notice than state law. Open the board, set Agenda notice (hours) to your number, and deadlines and reminders use it. Leave it at 0 to use the state rule.

Other states

If your state isn't listed, set the notice hours on each board. Deadlines and reminders then work the same way. Tell us your state at [email protected] and we'll prioritize adding its rules.
