Show your meeting video

Keep hosting your video where you already do. Paste the link into CivicPorch and residents watch it on the meeting page, next to the agenda, minutes and transcript. See it on the example town.

Add a video

1. Open the meeting and expand Meeting details, video link and cancellation.
2. Paste the link into Meeting video and choose Save details.

The page updates right away. You don't need to post the agenda again, so you can add the video after the meeting or paste the livestream link beforehand.

Which links play on the page

• YouTube: videos, livestreams, Shorts and youtu.be share links. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, so YouTube sets no cookies until someone presses play.
• Vimeo: public and unlisted videos (the unlisted link includes its private code), and Vimeo events. We ask Vimeo not to track viewers.
• Facebook: videos and live videos posted by a public Page. Videos on a personal profile or private group won't play for residents.

Links to any other site (Granicus, Swagit, Zoom recordings, your own website) show as a Watch the meeting video button that opens the video on that site. The form under the link tells you which one you'll get.

Tips

• If the video shows "unavailable", check that it is public or unlisted and that embedding is allowed (YouTube Studio: Content → video → Show more → Allow embedding).
• A video on the page doesn't draft minutes. To get draft minutes, upload the recording as well.
• Add captions to your video with the caption file from the meeting page.
